Super Socializer Now Supports Discord, Stack Overflow and Amazon for Social Login

Super Socializer Version 7.13.16 now supports Discord, Stack Overflow and Amazon for Social Login.

Discord is an online community platform, initially created as space for the gamers to communicate with one another. In December 2020, Discord hit a milestone of 140 million monthly active users (Discord’s active user base has doubled since 2019)

Stack Overflow is a question and answer website for professional and enthusiast coders. As of March 2021 Stack Overflow has over 14 million registered users, and has received over 21 million questions and 31 million answers.

Amazon is an international e-commerce company offering online retail, computing services, consumer electronics, digital content as well as other local services such as daily deals and groceries. There are 310 million active Amazon customer accounts worldwide.

Plugin now supports an option Disable Social Login for admin accounts that allows you to disable Social Login for administrators of the website. This option can be found in the Basic Configuration section at the Super Socializer > Social Login configuration page.

Third party libraries being used for Twitter login, Line login, Steam Login and Vkontakte Login were conflicting with the same libraries being used in other plugins. There is now a check in place that checks if these PHP classes are already being used in other plugins or themes.

Plugin now uses the latest version 10.0 of Facebook SDK.

Some text strings were not being translated when using any of the languages that plugin supports. These are “More” that you see on hovering the More icon in the social share bar, “Copy Link” that you see in the Title and Alt attributes of the Copy Link share icon and “Search” placeholder that appears in the Search textbox of the More social share popup.

Heateor Login is Compatible with the Latest Changes in Facebook API

As part of Graph API v8.0, Facebook has made changes to the token requirements. These changes will impact the social avatar this plugin integrates at your website after your website visitors login via Facebook login. These changes will take effect on October 23, 2020 @ 10AM PDT. More details here
Latest version of Heateor Login plugin ensures compatibility with these changes. If you don’t update the plugin to this version, after October 23, 2020 social avatar of the users of your website who used Facebook login to login to your website may appear broken.
After you update the plugin to this version, your website users (whose profile picture at your website is saved from their Facebook accounts) need to login at least once via Facebook login at your website to continue showing their Facebook avatar.

We have updated the official Facebook PHP SDK being used in the plugin to the latest version available.

Now there is a new column in the Users table that allows administrators of the website to delete the social profile data being saved when website visitors use Facebook login. This feature could be handy when any user of your website wishes to revoke the consent to save their personal data they granted at the time they used Facebook login to login to your website.

Since WordPress 5.5 the (?) icon right next to the options at the plugin configuration page had disappeared. This has been fixed in this version.

Heateor Social Login now Supports Yahoo, WordPress, Spotify, Kakao, Github and Dribbble

Version 1.1 of Heateor Social Login is out with the following key features.

Now you can configure WordPress, Yahoo, Spotify, Kakao, Github and Dribbble for social login at the plugin options page in the admin area.

Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs having a user base of 248 million monthly active users.
Dribbble is a social networking platform for digital designers and creatives having a user base of 3.5 million.
Github is a very popular service that provides hosting for software development and version control using Git having a user base of over 50 million software developers.
Kakao (KakaoTalk) is one of the most popular mobile messaging apps in South Korea with over 52 million active users worldwide as of June 2020.
WordPress.com is one of the most popular content management systems known for it’s versatility world wide.
Yahoo is a popular American web services provider having an enormous user base world wide.

Apart from this there are minor bug-fixes and new features.

We have added a new column Delete Social Profile in the Users table in the admin area to delete the social profile data of the users who decide to revoke their consent they provided to save their personal data while using social login.

Plugin is now compatible with the add-on Social Login Buttons that offers three premium themes along with the option to customize the text on the social login buttons. It can be installed separately along with the Heateor Social Login plugin to replace the default set of social login icons with the premium icons.

Facebook login icon was broken, Windows Live login and Line login were not working in the social account linking section. Changing the language of the website at front-end was breaking social login in some cases.

Text appearing at the front-end from this plugin can now be translated using WPML and other plugins that support wpml-config.xml file to translate the content of the website in multiple languages.

Super Socializer now Supports Spotify, Kakao, Github and Dribbble Social Login

Version 7.13.1 of Super Socializer is out with the following key features.

Now you can configure Spotify, Kakao, Github and Dribbble for social login at Super Socializer > Social Login options page in the admin area.

Apart from this there are minor bugfixes.

When clicked the Clear Bitly cache and Clear share count cache buttons in the Miscellaneous section at Super Socializer > Social Sharing options page were showing infinite loading. These buttons were accomplishing their work but without showing any notification.

Updating the plugin was causing changes in the CSS files of the plugin even when Logo color of the social share icons was not customized from the Theme Selection section at Super Socializer > Social Sharing options page.
